IGNITE Foundation is breaking down the barriers for children of low income families to compete at the highest levels of their sport.

“Pay to Play” is here for a reason - the United States has a much lower number of professional clubs per capita than many developed countries, and this is compounded by the geographical spread of the population across the United States. It is impossible for the limited number of professional clubs to find & fund every elite youth athlete. The large amount of privately operated academies, clubs, facilities leagues & tournaments in our “pay to play” environment is needed for those reasons. But the cost to participate in their programs is a barrier for many!

The IGNITE Foundation aims to break down that barrier. Through your generosity and that of our sponsor corporations, we are finding ways for child athletes of low income families to play at competitive levels and to receive elite level coaching.

How do we do it… families register their child athlete in our database. Academies & Clubs join our Be The Spark Club. IGNITE connects those families with organizations in their region. IGNITE Foundation negotiates and funds the cost of program fees.
